Ignacy Paderewski’s piano concert with a fashion show from the 1920s and 1930s

Objective(s)

• Promoting the life of Ignacy Jan Paderewski - one of the fathers and ambassadors of Independent Poland. • Promoting knowledge about Polish fashion and 20th-century music and social history as well as cuisine. • Reproduction of historical figures, including fashion, makeup, and hairstyles, while maintaining historical fidelity as far as possible. • Promoting pre-war traditions in the field of clothing, art (music) and Savoir-Vivre, as a model on which to base the modern model of social relations.

Scope of works (or issues to be solved)

Vision Group was responsible for the public affairs strategy and PR of the event as well as the preparation for the conference: venue, program, and organization of the fashion show, piano concert, invitations for guests and consultations with fashion and history experts as well as media coverage. Within cooperation with partners, Vision Group prepared also gift bags for guests.

Effects

  • In the event took part more than 100 guests, among others: ambassadors and representatives of diplomatic missions (among others Belgium, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Georgia, Portugal, USA), international and cultural organizations and representatives of public and business administration bodies as well as university authorities.
  • Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Culture and National Heritage Piotr Gliński granted the honorary patronage to the event. The letter from the Minister was read during the official opening.
  • Cooperation with the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland. Ambassador Bogusław Winid, the Advisor to the President of the Republic of Poland, gave a speech during the official opening of the event.
  • The artist who performed the works of Ignacy Paderewski was Krzysztof Książek. The artist is the semi-finalist and recipient of two special prizes at the 17th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw.
  • Ela Piorun, who designed the fashion show from the 1920s and 1930s, is responsible for the creations of, among others Agata Kornhauser-Duda, First Lady of the Republic of Poland.
  • Cooperation with embassies (Georgia, Belgium), business (PGNiG, Poczta Polska, PLL LOT, KPMG), VOGUE, American Chamber of Commerce in Poland. By courtesy of our partners, we prepared gift bags for all the guests.
  • Enhancing knowledge concerning Polish history by placing during the event a special exhibition on the activities of Ignacy Jan Paderewski within the cooperation with the Foundation for Independent Poland (Fundacja Służba Niepodległej).
  • Active participation in celebrating the 100th anniversary of Polish Independence – all the guests received from us special gifts with Vision Group’s logo and Polish symbol.
  • Organizing media coverage, interviews with organizers and special guests.

The event was co-financed from the funds of the Multiannual Program INDEPENDENT 2017-2021 as part of the “Independent” Subsidy Program.
